We Were Swimming explores intimacies and tensions between two teenage girls. As the protagonist’s dreams and memories interweave with one another certain intricacies of girlhood and female friendship come to light.

We Were Swimming was written and directed by Jesse May Fisher in 2016 as her final project upon graduating from London College of Communication. It has been included in the official selection of the Nightpiece Film Festival, The Lisbon International Film Festival, The Hong Kong Art House Film Festival, Third Eye Film Festival, Amarcord Chicago Arthouse TV and Video Festival as well as winning best cinematography at The Feedback Female Film Festival.
